TELEWORKING FROM HOME: THE PITFALLS, THE PAIN, THE ACHES AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT!

How Can Chiropractic Help During Pregnancy

At the time of conception, relaxin hormone levels are increased and may begin to contribute to the ligament laxity and joint hypermobility. You may begin to feel lower back pain, muscle soreness, pain across your pelvic bones, this is very consistent with hormonal changes during pregnancy. Some women complain of sciatica (pain down their leg) as their pregnancy progresses. Some women get headaches that are hormonally related. Even your feet can be sore due to ligament changes and you can even go up a size or two in shoe sizes. After giving birth these changes to your ligaments can put you at risk for continuing back, hip and pelvic pain. You may ask what can a chiropractor do for me?

At Boro Chiropractic, we use a technique called SOT, we use blocks that look like door stoppers to help guide the pelvics back to where it was prior to becoming pregnant. Many pregnant women, with back pain and or sciatica has been taken out of pain immediately using this technique. My patients have had better and shorter labors with a stable pelvis. We even have had success with turning breech babies and their mothers had a normal delivery.

Chiropractic care done right can be very comforting to mom and baby. Why not give your baby a good healthy start by trying chiropractic care, you'll be glad you did.
